As The Book Garden business of selling books has now ceased (we only link to other sellers now) I decided it would be an idea to use the hosting space for the website to try out installing wordpress and keeping it updated with our travels in summer 09.
The competition in the used book market became increasingly aggressive in the 3 years we were selling books and the choice of working even harder to try and maintain profits in such a fierce marketplace or giving it up and trusting that new projects would come along was a relatively easy one to make. Since my partner Sasha has now fully recovered from ME/CFS and her book about her recovery and her new business training therapists is now doing very well, it was decided to get rid of all our stock, trust in her business and start fresh on the south coast.
Our immediate plans are leaving our rented house in Bristol and spending the next few months travelling around the countryside in our camper, whilst I develop some web-based stuff, and Sasha writes her second book as well as running a number of training events.
If people wish to try and locate our old stock, most of it is being sold by Sasha’s brother, Ben. You can find his ebay account - Four Acre Books - full of veritable bargains.
