Wednesday morning ritual at Glastonbury usually involves a little more queuing than we experienced today. early rising and lucky timing got us arriving to join very slow moving traffic on the right side of Shepton Mallet. though this stopped moving totally very soon it was only for about 20 minutes and then we were quickly funnelled off the main road onto the track to blue gate and the campervan fields.
Usual chaos in stewarding the campervan field was expected and provided! Fire lanes quickly tapered to nothing and others filled with tents. Though dispite the chaos this festival has a pretty good safety record and very few fire incidents. I must admit tho the only hesitation I would experience if having to drive my bus away from an approaching fire before driving over tents pitched in a fire lane would be sounding the horn first! If time allowed I’d maybe actually check more thoroughly tho ;)
11am and the awning is more or less erected, some interior pegs need banging in, and the ground sheet needs pegged down. Before going into the festival it’s time for a little siesta to recover from rising at dawn!

This blog has just actually caught up to real time rather than a few weeks behind, at the expense of visits to a few places that I hope to catch up on later! In the meantime I hope to be able to post a few times whilst here!
